Throughout our sermon series, “What Shall I Do to Inherit Eternal Life?” rooted in Matthew 19, we’ve been exploring how Jesus responds to life’s most important questions.

This Sunday, we’ll conclude the series by looking at one final question from this passage.

Last week, we saw that the evidence of eternal life begins with following Jesus. Peter boldly tells Him, “We’ve left everything to follow You,” and then asks a very honest question: “What then shall we have?” In other words—what do we gain from following Christ?

Jesus’ answer may surprise us. He doesn’t promise health, wealth, comfort, or earthly success. Instead, He points beyond this life to something far greater—“the regeneration.”

What does that mean? What is Jesus really promising to those who follow Him?
