Exalt the savior
The Mission
We believe and assuredly hope in the good news (the Gospel) of Jesus Christ. Through His life, death, and resurrection THE way has been made for us to be saved from our sins and reconciled to God forever. We want our community to know and possess this same blessed hope. We exist to make Jesus known to all…to “Exalt the Savior, Equip the Saints, & Evangelize the Sinner.”
The Vision
At Hawthorne Baptist Church, our mission is to glorify God by growing together in faith, sharing His love with our community, and living out the truth of His Word. We are committed to worship that honors Christ, discipleship that strengthens believers, and service that reaches others with compassion and grace. Building on generations of faithfulness, we strive to be a church where everyone can find hope, belonging, and purpose as part of the Body of Christ.

What we believe
At Hawthorne Baptist Church, we believe in the absolute truth found in the Scriptures and hold firmly to the Baptist Faith & Message (2000) as our statement of faith. You can view the full document here: Baptist Faith & Message (2000)
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, completely true and without error.

God
There is one God who eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

Humanity
Every person is created in the image of God, as male and female, and is deeply loved by Him. Because of sin, all people are in need of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Salvation
Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ, and cannot be earned by good works.

The Church
The church is a local body of baptized believers who gather for worship, fellowship, and service. Together, we are also part of the larger Body of Christ; made up of all believers from every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We observe baptism by immersion as an act of obedience and a public testimony of faith in Christ’s death and resurrection. The Lord’s Supper is a sacred reminder of His sacrifice and a celebration of the hope of His return.

The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return one day, certain and soon, to fulfill God’s plan of redemption.

The Mission
We are called and commanded to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the world, making disciples in His name until He comes again.
